There are other things that have water in them.
So like fruits and vegetables also have water in them, lots of foods.
And so just be aware that we want our urine color to be pale yellow at the end of the day.
Vegetables.
So I really like using your hands as serving sizes.
And so the habit is really eat a vegetable, eat something green once in a while.
Now, one thing that I notice is that many of my clients say that they love vegetables, but then one of the first things that we do, which I'm sure you do too, is we track exactly what we're
what we're eating for like a week, just so that we have a good idea.
We think that we're drinking a lot of water.
We think that we're eating a lot of vegetables, but if we actually track how many servings of vegetables we're eating in a day, many of my clients realize that even though they love vegetables, that they don't eat as many as they think.
My theory is, or I don't know if it's a theory, but my catchphrase is that I've never accidentally drank too much water and I've never accidentally eaten a vegetable.
Both of those things are things that we have to plan for and we have to do intentionally.
So going back to the hand signal or the hand sizes, a serving of vegetables is about the size of one of your fists.
So like a tomato or a serving of broccoli or asparagus or something like that.
Now, if we're talking about leafy greens like spinach or kale or lettuce, that's two fists.
So I recommend that you, again, look at how many you're eating right now.
And then just add either a half or one serving per day until it gets easier.
And then instead of going to like the recommended dose of six per day, because that's going to be really uncomfortable, especially if you're only eating like one serving right now.
But so add like one extra serving per day, maybe even a half, like really inch your way into better habits and you'll eventually get there.
Yeah.
