Like the thing I always say is that we know so much more about male pattern balding than we do menstruation.
No.
And so like you have –
I don't know, there's all this knowledge that we could have.
And for so long women were left or people who menstruate were left out of medical trials for the fact that they menstruated and that would be an irrational variable.
And I'm like that's my irrational variable.
Like I menstruate.
Yeah.
If I'm going to take this medication, I want it to have passed that test.
Yes.
So there's a lot we don't know and I do, I think that doctors recognising that would be really helpful and like
understanding that your anxiety is about going on a certain medication aren't because you're being combative or because you're just carrying stigma about medication, but it might be that you really wanna know what this is gonna do to you because medication can be quite impactful to your body.
And I think taking the time to talk through those anxieties as opposed to dismissing them is really critical.
What sort of treatments are there?
So Prozac for me was really, really positive for PMDD.
This is the thing that a lot of people don't know about it when it comes to PMDD treatment is that it doesn't necessarily work as an SSRI.
It actually works on blocking the conversion of progesterone to allo in the brain.
So it works on like a neurosteroid level.
I'm not a doctor.
I won't get into all of the nitty-gritty on that.
