Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Basically it works on like a neurosteroid level.

Not SSRI.

Yeah.

So instead of like doing this, whatever SRIs do, instead of taking months to build up, you will feel it pretty much straight away.

Oh.

Because it's stopping that conversion.

Wow.

So if someone had said to me, hey, try Prozac.

You're not going to have to wait three months to know if it works or not.

You could just try it right now.

And if it doesn't work for you, you'll know.

I would have gone on it a lot quicker if someone had said that to me instead of saying like, well, we're going to be on it, it's going to take this long and it's going to have all these side effects and you're not going to know if it's working until you've also experienced all these side effects.

And it's like, what?

So why wasn't that information, how is it presented to you?

Well, it's presented as it's operating as an SSRI.

I think this is because the research is so limited that they can't necessarily advertise it in the ways that it's being commonly used, which is also so risky.

Like you don't want people just trying medications.

yeah prozac and things like that where yeah it can have huge side effects but it's like stuck in this infinite loop of like there isn't enough research so we can't help patients and we can't help patients because there isn't enough research and it's just this cyclical thing yeah and then people are fair enough trying to figure it out on their own and make things work for them which is um so understandable but also really scary territory yeah yeah
