I know that there are some days where I can't go to work and do a good job.
And I have to, unfortunately, until they invent a great magical cure, whatever, and I get to be the hero that comes back with that one linear arc.
Until that happens, I have to be accepting of that and find ways to like not be constantly fighting myself and fighting my illness and fighting my emotions.
And instead living, which sounds a lot nicer and easier than it actually is.
But sometimes it's like, yeah, it's just like, I will feel really angry.
I will be right to be angry.
It's not helpful to express it right now.
Oh, you should do some yoga.
So there was one, there's one line in the book that came directly from my diaries, which was like, you were really full on the day before.
If you feel that intense again, you should maybe do a nice yoga flow.
Not helpful to myself.
So I think what has been more helpful is this idea that like, I got, well, first of all, I got so depressed when I realized that this was PMDD and I was going to keep coming back to this place.
That felt like the end of the world.
I could not imagine coming back to it.
But then I have now had to think about it like it's also always going to leave.
Like that also comes back.
Like the relief is also recurring.
And I am strong enough and I trust myself enough and I've built the skills and the network and the like community around me to be able to sit through it even when it's really hard.
And that is a strength, not fear.
And I think part of like feeling and being able to trust myself was like stitching those two selves together.
