to express, otherwise, yeah, my brain just can't figure out actually what's happening.
So it's pretty crazy to figure out in my 30s.
Yeah, still crazy indeed after all these years.
This is a definite before.
We were talking before we started recording about Mexico's San Pancho.
So I would go to San Pancho two, three times a year back when I was living in L.A.
like five, six years ago.
And that's when I really got into Nick Drake.
And when I think of this song, I'm like on the beach in Mexico.
Sayulita, it's this like sunset and I'm just having like one of those, a little moment, you know, little me and Nick having a, having a little moment.
You know, I'd say that he had kind of given up on his ego or whatever.
And so it was just pure expression, him just doing it for the sake of getting it out.
And I think that, like, you can just tell that the song came out easily with no, like hardly any thinking.
And I think that thinking is the thing that really, you know, judgment is the thing that stops the magic.
And it's also like so elusive, especially when you're working with lots of people, the fact that you can hear him in the room and it's just him and a guitar, like Joni Mitchell Blue, you know, it's like, man, this has got to be, I mean, it is one of my favourite songs.
I mean, I really love that song.
I just wanted to live and breathe in and experience all of the beautiful things in life to conquer my fears so that I could have more of the love.
