I mean, I think you're asking two different things.
The fact that self-identified communities use technology to be able to meet is an amazing attribute.
You know, queer communities, king communities, older communities, disabled communities.
I mean, it is an amazing form of yellow pages, you know, where people can meet like that just in time someone like me, you know.
That is separate from the connection between how much do people use technology to connect, to reach out, to then go meet people offline versus how much they use the technology to avoid the actual meeting in the real world and the simulation replaces the actual embodied experiences.
And, you know, that's a separate question for you.
The first one, I'm all behind it.
I really think that it's a phenomenal way in which people can finally find others who are like them.
At the same time, I still belong to a world, and that I think is also a generational thing, where I believe that there is something about the actual meeting with others in real life and in real time.
You know, the life performance that forces you to deal with the immediacy and the unpredictability of life is unmatched.
And that just to live in a simulated environment doesn't do it.
It gives you a false sense of control over your life.
But I think that things are not moving in my direction.
it's an interesting thing because I think that you have two trends going at the same time.
You have one trend that is trying to bring a communal entrepreneurial spirit, disruptive spirit into the traditional monogamous exclusive model.
And then you have a whole other trend which has gone unabated, basically, in which the one has become even more intense
intensified than it ever was before.
Because this the one now emerges in between a thousand people at my fingertips, you know, and suddenly, you know, I'm going to delete my apps once I meet the one.
That's the real new ritual of commitment, right?
