The search for the soulmate, you know, the soulmate that is a human being and not God anymore, that has just become even more intensified.

I think in many ways the millennial generation is way more romantic than the boomer generation, actually.

And we shall see what happens to Gen Z or to the whole iNet in general.

The expectations have gone up, not down.

It's just that they are...

put aside for longer.

And then when they come out, it's such a combustible, irrepressible set of expectations that is just unbelievable.

And we shall see where that goes.

So we have two trends going on at the same time.

Romanticism

has not abated, it has not weakened, it is more intense.

But because it is more intense, there is a counter-movement that says, this exclusive romantic ideal of one person, etc., is unrealistic, it is bound to have people do all kinds of things, let's have a model that really embraces multiplicity.

And these two are now literally looking at each other from the corners.

I don't know that I divide them like that.

I think that the consensual non-monogamy or even the polyamory movement is not just pro-sex.

It's also a movement that actually believes in commitment and says the commitments that we have known, we have not seen them work out so well.

We are the children of the divorced and the disillusioned.

We are the children of the boomers, basically.

And we are trying to come up with our own version of how we marry our wish for commitment and stability with our wish for personal expression and freedom.
