consumer,
You know, we've had tax refunds that's helped in terms of putting more money into their pocket for that higher spending.
You know, we're in the summer season in the States right now.
It's peak driving seasons.
Americans like to drive.
And so, you know, you'll see that affect them in terms of the amount of excess cash at the end of the day to fill their pockets after they fill their gas tank.
So I think that's going to be important to look at in terms of where we're going from there.
And so one, it's very much important watching what the market's pricing in regards to Fed fund rates and what happens is really key at the end of the day.
But I think the expectations are, we can level set to say, we would anticipate given the current scenario, that interest rates should be higher tons from now.
And that's your starting point.
And you can swap in and out when it might happen, but we've got to pay attention when the market's pricing in.
And the other one, we forget, we're less than 100 days away from the term elections.
It doesn't feel like it because actually it's not taking over the news headlines.
And when we look at things, we could have a little bit of change between the house and the Senate, but at the end of the day, the problem, you know, the expectations in the market is still a divided government.
And so, you know, very much, you know, the status quo in terms of being able to do anything will come directly out of the administration.
So I don't see the midterms as being a volatile period.
I think we've got volatility for other reasons and it's not so much the midterm elections, but it will be interesting to see how it goes in terms of the Democrats versus the Republicans, the two main parties in the US.
And we'll wait to see if that holds.
But it's an interesting one, but it's not the key driver of the markets at the moment.
The sentiment is focused elsewhere.
