I actually knew of, well, you know, being local Waihi Beach girl, you know, and like I didn't know those guys personally, but I'd seen them around, you know, and a friend of mine was tattooing with James and he'd met David and just was like,
you know, scary.
And so, you know,
I never knew those guys, but I knew of them.
My family are from the Pairoa, you know, Waihi Beach.
So I ended up gravitating to Waihi Beach and my son went right through Waihi Beach school.
You know, like I've got a history at Waihi Beach.
I was there probably from about 78 to about 2000, off and on, you know.
So pretty local.
So I knew the area really well, like know Wharatoa really well, you know, Ora Kau up to Mataru, up to Wharatoa, Wanga.
So that's where I sort of, probably if I'd been in the Wanga pub, caught sight of those Turner boys and then also
and out at a pottery as well.
I sort of know that they kind of, cause they were fat, like Bosch guys.
So, you know, and, but yeah, just stayed well away from them and knew,
From Waihi, you know, he lived with a friend of mine and knew him like for many years.
And how I ended up at Matara Bay, because I ended up moving over to Tauranga.
Long story short, I was widowed a couple of times out at Wai Beach.
So massive history, lots of grief out there.
So I just left and tried to start up a new life and cleaned up because I was involved in drugs, alcohol, all of that.
Well, mainly just pot and a few hard drugs, but not heroin or anything like that.
