That comes with exploration and learning about
What are your values?
What is your true self?
And listening to things like podcasts like this, right?
Learning about it.
So not only is it mentally, meaning how are you talking to yourself?
What are your ruminations?
How are you catastrophizing?
But also very much on an emotional level.
I'll say this last thing about it, that before I started doing this mind-body work for chronic pain and illness and anxiety, I was still a therapist and I truly thought that I knew how to work with emotions.
I thought that, you know, I'm able to sit with clients and help them, allow them to feel and provide that space, right?
And do that for myself.
I really didn't on a deeper level until I learned this work, until I learned that actually a lot of the repression is, first of all, very normal for humans because we're not allowed to feel some of the feelings that we might inherently feel as humans.
And so I would highly recommend people understanding what that actually looks like.
Like, what does deeper emotional expression look like?
And how can you allow yourself to feel something you've never allowed yourself to feel?
And I can go into more specifics because I know it's general, but that's, yeah.
So when it comes to the emotional expression, there's many, many ways that I've learned this.
But I will mention her name is Nicole Sachs, if anyone has not heard of her.
But she is the therapist that does what I do in mind, body, neuroplastic symptom work.
