So I said to the nurse, well, will I live?

Am I going to live?

And she went, um, no, that is not good bedside manner.

You don't hesitate the answer to that question.

You just go, yes, of course you are.

You don't think about it.

And that's when I realized, oh, this is quite serious.

I still didn't tell my parents until I got out of hospital.

I went back to Dublin and told them what had happened.

Much better to tell your parents about things that happened rather than things that are happening.

What was good was I was in my last, going into my last year of drama school.

And that year, you know, it was, people's emotions are so high because it's all about who's gonna get an agent, who's been going to the casting, what part did you get in the final year of productions?

And there were people running into toilets, slamming doors, crying in corridors.

And I was literally going, I'm alive.

I lived, so I'm quite relaxed about it all.

And it was, it did.

You know, I'm not glad it happened, but equally, I think it really altered my attitude towards, you know, how I live my life and the importance I give certain things and careers highs and career lows.

It kind of helps you kind of see through a lot of that.

Actually, I'm not sure of any of that stuff on IMDb.
