And it was such a weird experience because sitting behind that desk on that first night,

I, it really did feel like my dream job.

Oh, wow.

I found a thing I really enjoy doing.

I really like this.

And I like doing the interviews and I like doing the comedy bits.

But of course it was somebody else's job.

So it was kind of, you know, the best of times, the worst of times.

There was then an awful thing that happened at the British Comedy Awards.

I don't know how this ended up happening.

Someone should have stepped forward and made it stop.

But Jack Doherty and me, we were both nominated for Best Newcomer for his show.

Oh, wow.

And I'm at the awards on his table with him, and I won.

Oh, good.

And I went, I got my prize and I went backstage, did the press thing, got pictures taken and I came back and my boyfriend at the time was on the table and I sat beside him and went, what's it been like?

And he just went, very quiet.

Anyway, but the producer that I worked with on that show for two weeks, Graham Stewart, he kind of saw something in me.

He thought, oh, this guy, he has a... Because he'd worked on lots of talk shows.

And so we went to Channel 4 with this idea of doing our own show.
