And essentially, we lobbied the New South Wales government first to abolish the provision of good character references for convicted child sex offenders.
Because that was our lived experience and we knew that child sex offenders specifically groom and use that character to cultivate this image of they're trustworthy and safe for kids to be in the care of.
And essentially we lobbied in New South Wales for four years and we extended that to other states and territory.

Yeah, so we extended our campaign to the ACT.
So from New South Wales, we went to the ACT, then South Australia, then WA and all the other states followed eventually.
And yeah, in December of 2025, the Australian Capital Territory introduced legislation abolishing the provision of good character references for child sex offenders, which was such a great thing.
