You can only play in 100 clips, right?
So I would always hit 100, and I would have to cut stuff that, you know.
And then he went, and the new producer, I wrote the script, and he said, why didn't you include this clip or that clip?
I said, well, I'm up to 100 clips, the machine only takes 100 clips.
He said, who told you that?
Yeah, it was basically to get me to stop writing such long scripts.
Because all the clips had to be sourced and, you know, it was like a massive job.
So, you know, in the end, we would sometimes buy 140 clips.
And then the show would end up with, I don't know how many were in it, you know, probably only, I don't know, 60 or 40, I don't know how many.
But you'd lose a lot, yeah.
You'd lose a lot by... We'd rehearse it during the day and then we'd cut a lot in the rehearsal and then, you know, it was all that last minute thing, rewriting.
Did you sort of... Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It was only... The weird thing was that...
On the last recording, all the staff were in tears.
They were all crying and really upset.
And I was like, ah.
Driving away from the studio at the end.
Thank God we got away with it.
My feeling was always that we got away with it.
Because some episodes are stronger than others.
