Um and the Oilers have done this I think almost every trade deadline in the last three years where they w trade for a player, uh, they get the the original team to retain half, but they get another team involved to retain um twenty five percent or half of the remainder.

So when the player gets to the Oilers they're twenty five percent.

So that's what happened with Trent Frederick.

Um that happened with Adam Henry the year before.

There's a new restriction on that.

The the second retention must be seventy five days seventy five league days after the first retention.

So that means that if you want to get a a player at at like the twenty five percent at the deadline, he needs to be traded first by Christmas time and retained, and then he can be traded again at the deadline with a second retention.
