Well two million of caps states when the season starts assuming or for Calsa that gets you over eight million at the deadline, right?

So you're adding a player.

Then you're adding an impact

Yeah.

And not having to um pay for extra retention.

Like look at the cost of Trent Frederick.

Um, because at the time when they made that trade they didn't know uh for sure if Keane was gonna be out for the end of the regular season, so they paid the extra price in picks and a prospect to get the double retention.

Um so yeah, if you don't need if you have cap space, you can both pay less for players um because you don't

need either one or two retention.

And there's also players that are only going to be available if the team will take their full cap hit and are harder to be harder to find a destination.

So you open yourself up to be able to take on some other players.

You know, maybe it's a player that let's just say he has a five or six million dollar cap it and he's more like a three or four million dollar player, but you can afford to like uh take that extra uh cap hit over if you have the space.

But again a lot

things can happen that's assuming perfect health.

I mean last season the Whalers tried to accrue space and they accrued a little bit but then you you start to run into some injuries and um had to dip into L L T I R a few times and so you know your plans are you know it's like the Mike Tyson line.

Everyone has a plan to get punched in the face.

When the season starts um people get injured and things happen and two players don't perform and so things change.

But I mean yeah starting with two million and ending up with

with over eight million at the deadline, that would that would be ideal.
