And this happens in a lot of businesses.
Photographers are not really selling photos.
They are helping people tell a story, either about their family or their brand or leaving a legacy behind.
A copywriter isn't just selling words.
They are helping businesses communicate in a way that builds trust and drives action.
Designers are not just making something look pretty.
They are helping businesses become recognizable and memorable.
So the delivery is only part of the value and the real value is in the transformation that it creates and I think sometimes we accidentally become known for the tool instead of the outcome and after a while even we start to believe that's all we do and that is where I have found myself recently.
When people introduce me as the podcast expert I'm taken aback.
I'm like oh
Okay, because it's not wrong.
I'm incredibly proud of that.
I'm so thankful for the people that introduced me that way.
I love it much more than podcast editor to be completely transparent with you because I'm actually not editing that many shows anymore in our business.
What I want to be known for and what I want Gaffin Creative to be known for is a bigger picture.
It's not that I'm outgrowing editing because I'm not.
I think there's so much importance in editing.
I don't think it will ever leave the holistic component of my business.
But
For the people that we serve, which is business owners, there has to be so much more in our services to make it worth the podcaster to actually have a show for their business.
