When I started to do this, I was like, okay, how many of my sales calls have I closed?
And a lot of it came down to they weren't really a great fit for us or we weren't a great fit for them.
I have two days a week that I get on calls with potential clients.
And I was probably getting on four to six sales calls a week.
with very few converting.
And I don't see that as a terrible thing.
I don't, because a lot of times people are in the very early stages of planning their podcast when they reach out to us.
It could be that they want to just understand what this looks like for six months from now.
So there's a lot that went into this, but when I created this wait list, it was not about creating scarcity of like, oh well, we only have so many clients that we can work with, get on the wait list and bl that's not what it was about.
It was more about creating that space for me and space for my team.
Because I don't want to manufacture demand in my business.
Like that's not what I'm trying to do.
It's never been something I've like pushed for because there are gonna be times where I don't take a client because they're not a good fit.
And there's gonna be times that I'm rejected because I'm not a good fit.
And that's totally fine.
What this was about was just creating that space, getting rid of sales calls, telling people like when we have capacity for your specific project, we'll reach out to you and like we can start that process then and there.

Will we lose potential clients?
Absolutely.
But I couldn't take them anyway right now.
