And very close to my office, as morbid as this is, there was a place in the woods where they would take cadavers.
And for like forensic classes, they would study decomposition and how the weather affects them.
And so there were straight dead bodies out here just sitting there.
Right.
For educational purposes, of course.
But being as close in proximity to that place as I was, I was very familiar with the smell because it's not something they could really subdue, right?
That being said, I can honestly say, as I have many times walked out into the backyard, woods behind me, something is dead back there and I smell it.
I don't know that I could tell the difference.
He does that a couple of times, too.
That's not the only statement he makes that does that.
I think you and I have talked about it before.
He makes the comment about, well, maybe she just ran away.
Like any murderer ever says, right?
So, you know...
Well, I think he turns the tables a number of times and he becomes the interviewer, especially there at the beginning.
It's almost as if he's kind of probing for what information you have.
Before he really starts to open up.
Because he does ask some questions there.
And I have to give him credit.
If he knows what he knows and he's just trying to play you, he certainly does a good job in kind of leaning into the, oh, I don't really remember.
