Doing all right.

I was always of the idea that it made perfect sense to surround Manny Milholtra with a coach that had some NHL head coaching experience.

And we see that through the league.

And I guess I felt pretty strongly about that up until the hiring the other day and the hirings.

And then I got around to thinking.

With where the Canucks are in their competitive arc, guys, I can't imagine that there will be a single in-game decision this year.

A single game state... Like...

conundrum for Manny Malholtra that he would require the steadying presence of an experienced hand on the bench as well.

There will be no stakes to the Vancouver Canucks.

A coach's challenge in a third period somewhere along the line, if it doesn't go his way, it doesn't go his way.

And I think, you know,

There'll be no issues with any of that.

So, you know, I think people are right to look at this and think, all right, cost-cutting?

Is this just as simple as another indication that maybe the purse strings are being tightened at Rogers Arena?

And I know Ryan Johnson last week, again, said, no, he's got the budget to do whatever he wants, but...

One thing to say, and I think it is fair to judge the organization on its actions, and with the lack of experience, I think probably comes the pay grade that sort of falls in line with that as well.
