Yeah, they just come back around all the time.
Yeah, all the fucking time.
But as you cultivate that wiser part of yourself that says, okay, this is a shame spike.
I don't listen to the words.
I don't follow the narrative.
I don't justify.
I don't defend.
I don't condemn.
I just breathe through the feelings and wait for this wave to stop hitting me in the face.
This tidal wave to stop pulling me down.
I just breathe through it.
And then I'll come back to the content when I'm feeling more calm.
That models for your child beautifully, right?
And also, it leaves you space to actually figure out whether or not there's anything of value in your shame spike.
Sure.
And usually there's not a lot.
