How could you predict?

You can't predict it.

And so this is another part of parenting is you can't control what happens to your kids.

You can't control who your kids are.

It's an act of faith.

It's a fucking insane thing to grow human and then to have it somehow come out of you.

What?

Like every part of it is an act of faith.

And we've established that you don't have an easy relationship to faith in self.

And especially when you feel out of control or there's something you could, quote unquote, do wrong.

Yeah.

And so, okay, this is just an opportunity for you to not...

get perfectionistic about how you're supposed to think or feel.

Don't worry about trying to control how your baby feels because we don't even know if baby feels anything at this stage, right?

We don't know.

We like, we have theories, but we don't know.

But we do know that if you're in a situation where

where you're around doctors or midwives that don't listen to you, fuck no.

Hell no.

If you don't have a birth plan, that's not going to work for you either.
