And, you know, in the U.S., I think, you know, if we look at, you know, there's a lot of – there's been a big decline in trust about elections.
Yeah.
I think mostly unjustified.
But if I were someone –
Running in the Democratic Party, I would campaign sort of in a slightly surprising way and say, actually, I want to implement IDs for voting because we need trustworthy elections.
I think that would kind of blow people's minds.
Whether that's a good policy or not, I don't know.
It doesn't seem like necessary to me, but, you know.
It's a thing.
And I do think, I mean, we had it here in the UK.
I think most people, even diehard Labour Party members here would say Keir Starmer won the election more on the perception of him as a trustworthy kind of calm person after sort of the chaos of Boris Johnson than it was about policy.
It really wasn't about policy.
It was about the sort of the Tories had
exhausted people's trust in lots of ways.
And so people moved on.
Yeah, it's a very good question.
And so just for a bit of context, so I followed for many years the Edelman Trust Barometer Survey, which is a multinational survey, lots of topics.
I think it's the biggest research project about trust.
And they have documented this steady decline in trust.
And it goes up and down in various ways in various years.
