And, you know, debt was a big part of my wife and I story.
So when we got married, I had never had debt.
She had about $80,000 of debt.
So the day we get married, man, we believe that becomes our debt, not her debt, but our debt.
And so we were convicted to try to pay that off quickly.
And so her private Christian school elementary teacher salary and my church salary, right?
We weren't like rolling in the big bucks, but man, we live simply one bedroom apartment and we paid it off six days before our two year anniversary.
Wow.
That was awesome.
Yeah.
Let's get this behind us.
Let's let's be free.
And so that was a big part of our story.
And so that December, as as he's sharing the sermon and we're like, man, what would it look like for us to participate, you know, above and beyond just normal giving?
to really try to help our church pay off our debt.
And so we felt called from the Lord individually from each other.
And then we came together to give more than we'd ever given in a calendar year before.
It was like a one-time gift.
Like it was categorically different in kind than we'd ever gotten to be a part of.
And, man, we prayed, and we sensed this is what God wanted for us.
