I'd just like to back up on this one a little bit.

So uh Dwayne, would you kind of elaborate on that so people understand why it's being pulled and let's talk about this a little bit?

Sure, sure.

So one of the things that I've uh learned in the last couple of weeks since we first started talking about it, uh amongst other things is that

Apparently many of the people uh in the city had no idea that we've been talking about this on and off for the better part of a year.

So I think we have a a large gap in terms of educating the public about what this is.

Um one of the things that was left out of the newspaper article was and and Mayor you brought up a a question about what would happen to the regular millage.

You know, my response was that we should reduce it by an offsetting amount.

Uh that never made it into the paper and unfortunately when

People started uh writing in and calling me, you know, they were under the impression that we were just going to try and raise another fifty million dollars.

And I've I've been at pains to explain to them that that's not necessarily the case.

Um the other idea was that they thought this was going to go into effect immediately.

Uh so my takeaway from all this is that we have a huge, huge education component that we really missed out on if we want to do this.
