It happened yesterday, right?

Reaching for my reading glasses so I can do my wordle in the morning.

My brain just goes, you're so unhappy.

Like, whoa, where did that come from?

And I can smile at it because I don't engage with that anymore.

I don't identify with that thought.

But I know that that day is going to be quite difficult.

I'm going to get pissed off about the traffic and the trains.

I'm going to be annoyed about the thing the person said or whatever.

So I can switch back into that early sobriety mindset of, you just don't have a drink today.

We'll try again tomorrow.

And 99 times out of 100, tomorrow is better.

Whereas I guarantee if I drink, tomorrow will be horrendous.

I'm sort of, I guess, more comfortable in not knowing who I am.

Yeah.

I don't say that to sound sort of intentionally sort of glib or evasive.

No, I know what you mean though, yeah.

I don't need to be anything.

Because as soon as I start building up this idea of John Robbins...

you know, I start to attach lots of different values to that and lots of different things he needs to be him.
