For those that are interested in how this meeting is going to go today, I'll point out that my horoscope today that has been forwarded to me reads, steer clear of controversial subjects today.
He will conduct that meeting, and then we will go back to the work session after we've conducted that meeting.
So with that being said, unless there's objection or questions or comments, the Austin City Council work session is in recess at 9.03 a.m., and I'll flip it to the mayor pro tem.
That is the only item on the agenda that we have is the briefings and item B1 and an executive session.
So what I'm going to attempt to do is go to the briefings first.
We have a number of people that have signed up to speak.
We will hear from our speakers.
Then depending upon where we are time-wise, we may break before we then call up our staff to go into the executive session.
And I'm just going to, with your indulgence, I'll play that by ear.
That way we can schedule the attorneys that are supposed to report to us during that executive session, not have them tied up, not be paying extra for just having them sit around.
So just stick with me on that, and that's what I'll try to do.
Then we'll come back if that's the case, and we'll have the full briefing.
So with that, let's go to Item B-1, and I'll turn to the city clerk's office to start calling the names of speakers.
