It's a really good tool to just give yourself some time.

And but if you think about what you're modeling for your child when you do that, I mean they're gonna make all kinds of mistakes and we don't want them to feel that they're so vulnerable because they've done such a terrible thing.

Yeah, exactly.
I think it's an old idea that parents have to be perfect and if they make a mistake, it's it's shameful.
And it's exactly what we're trying to s change the dynamic on in our relationship with kids.
When they do something that's not what we want them to do, we don't want them to feel shame for it.
