How we were watching the radar, I'm like, My goodness, it's gonna be very active across the metro here uh in Tampa Bay.
Yeah, that's right.
Uh it's uh you can see it on the map there.
We typically watch a parade of tropical waves in any season.
Uh the uh easterly waves as we call it, an inverted trough of lower pressure as they move along in the trade wind flow.
We have the ITCZ down there, that's the intertropical convergence zone.
Basically basically an area where the trade winds come together.
That promotes a lot of lift, rising air.
And these waves move off the African continent.
So we watch them during the season and eventually this will work its way a little further to the north uh in latitude.
And that's when we can see some more spin due to the uh Coriolis effect from the Earth uh rotation here.
So we'll be watching this over the coming days, but the bottom line, nothing is really developing out there, just a few waves, no major concerns.
Which is what we would expect in an El Nino uh type season.
Which is uh it's gonna be really interesting though, because all the signals do point towards a really intense, uh, record breaking type El Nino that is setting up and that does have a big impact to us here in the state of Florida, not only in the hurricane season, but
In the wintertime, it gets very stormy across the Gulf Coast.
Uh I think back in my career and and watching the weather even before I started in the nineties, uh, that parade of coal fronts come through, squall lines, severe weather.
So it's not just in the tropical season at the enzo can have a a uh impact on local weather.
Into winter.
