Appearances
It was never a goal, it was a dream.
And with a dream, you don't necessarily think that it is possible.
So I was like, it would be amazing to play for the Silver Ferns, but I never made it a goal.
I've tried changing my mind over my way of thinking over the years where I don't like to put too much attention on something because if it doesn't work, I don't like that disappointment feeling.
But I've had to change that because to reach those high things, you have to put a lot of time and effort into it.
So at that point I was like, I'm just here, I'm just trying to enjoy my life.
I joined a local club who to this day, like a family to me, they're massive supporters, love them all.
So pretty much joined a local club and I just played.
they gave me opportunities, they sent me to rep stuff, like I, my raw skills coming over, I was not the best netballer, I had so much to learn, like my club coach benched me at times, I got put into second teams, and I didn't make it into rep teams for years, you know, it wasn't easy, but
I decided to build a life for myself outside and have other things to focus on.
I had studies outside of netball.
I tried to work wherever I could.
I had to work to support myself.
So yeah, it was a really tough grind.
But along the journey, I met the most amazing people that
that I still talk to to this day that have meant a lot to me and have helped me throughout that process.
So it's been a fun journey.

Well, my first year I was here on a visitor's visa and you're not allowed to work or do anything or study or anything.
