And you don't have to obviously know you're going to marry this person, but like that you are interested in being with this person for a long period of time.

And now that time frame is how long y'all been dating.

Now how long have you been divorced?

Because that's another factor you need to bring into the mix, right?

Because if Ben and I had just gotten divorced and he started dating somebody and let's say he got into it really quickly and then he's been dating her for three months now and he wants to introduce her to the kids.

But that means we just officially got divorced also three months ago.

That might not be the same because the kids are still processing the divorce process.

So that's another timing factor that needs to be at play here.

But say you've been divorced for a while, then you can do the three to six months or whatever works for you.

Would you say from your experience that you would want to talk to your kids about meeting them before springing it on them?

Like make sure they know that it's happening.
