I know exactly what you're saying and to the people that say like you traded one addiction for another I say yes one addiction had me suicidal and feeling like a loser and the other addiction has me sitting here talking to you about my book I have four children like David we have a lot of similarities but we have some major differences right like I live with my four children like they watch everything I do I can't be I can't be hard all the time like there has to be a balance with

the things that I'm doing too, right?

Like I have a job, like I interact with people all the time.

And it's funny when I meet people who only know me through like the book or a podcast, similar reaction, they're like, oh, you seem much more relaxed and sensible.

I'm like, no one is a, I don't know what perception I'm putting out there.

Like a lot of times I'll say to my wife, I'm like, I think these people think I'm someone that I'm not.

It's like a little bit unsettling at times.

Cause I'm like, I think they're expecting me to like come in and like start punching people or something.

I'm like,

I genuinely like love people I'm like a lot of it is a defense mechanism if I'm super aggressive maybe people won't like get too close to like hurt my feelings yeah which well really yeah of course I mean I'm I'm super sensitive so much so that I'm like let me I I gotta tell you about all my weaknesses before you find out about them so that was part of the book is like here's all the mistakes I made you do do a lot of that in the book yeah well a lot of it is like

my own form of therapy.

It's like, these are the worst thing that's ever happened to me.

And the only way I can get comfortable with them is just to talk about them.

And like in the book, I talk about in high school, I'm playing quarterback last game of the season.

We end up tying the game, but we should be winning.
