So you have like these two different colliding incentives, and that leads to a lot of voice-verified

Because obviously people are frustrated. voice-verified

And so like that is like as an SEO, you see that and you're like, cool, this reflects in our click rates or just in the people that the way that people search about us versus competitors. voice-verified

You can see, for example, that that company, their brand search volume over the last five years just is like a a tail slide. voice-verified

It's just a slope, right? voice-verified

And so I mean that also means that they lose more revenue and their voice-verified

Therefore, they're more likely to dial up the gating again. voice-verified

So you get into this like spiral, which causes more negative reviews. voice-verified

But then as an SEO, you look at these negative reviews and like you basically have to go to the CEO and you have to say, look, we need to forego future revenues to provide users a better experience so that they don't leave these terrible reviews and so that they're more likely to maybe recommend us or talk about us well on Reddit. voice-verified

That is a mammoth task and probably impossible at some companies, right? voice-verified
