I think we can say that about many teens.

And to mark the occasion, one of their family friends actually generously gifted her a car, a 1987 Holden Camira, which Stephanie promptly nicknamed La Fonda.

She wanted to learn everything she could about La Fonda and all of La Fonda's needs, whether that be maintenance work or how to take care of her car, Stephanie would be by her dad's side.

She would even sit there and hand him the tools.

Having her own car gave Stephanie the freedom to drive around, listen to her favorite music, which I really liked her taste in music.

It included Matchbox 20, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Killers, and Jack Johnson.

She had really good taste.

In addition to her outgoing personality and her great sense of humor,

Stephanie had many other wonderful qualities about her.

Everyone in her life knew her as someone who was compassionate, sensitive, and considerate.

She always made a point of being the very first person to wish her loved ones a happy birthday.

This meant she would set an alarm,

for 12.01 a.m.

and she would make sure to call you or text you right then.

And when it came to life after graduation, Stephanie was always driven and focused.

She knew exactly what she wanted to do.

She had always seen the difference her father made in young people's lives as a teacher and she immediately knew she was going to follow in his footsteps as a high school teacher.

This was a way for Stephanie to embrace her love of learning, performing, encouraging and leading others, and also leaning into her playful side.

After graduating, she enrolled in a teaching degree at Charles Sturt University in the city of Wagga Wagga.
