I think someone with a neurodivergent brain is being overwhelmed all the time.
And that's when you have a bit of space to sit and overthink and kind of like freeze basically into a frozen state.
And I think that happens more in those smaller things like I need to clean that pile over there.
than it would the very end of a deadline where I see someone get a spark of energy, motivation, they come back into their activated state in their nervous system.
And then they do, do you know?
If anything, I think the demands of life on someone who's neurodivergent is hard all the time, but there's things we have to do, do you know?
And there's things we have to do at a deadline.
So I think sometimes your brain just wants a chance to do that, a chance to be like, oh, I don't know.
And it's hard.
It is really hard.
And as you said there, the washing in the corner.
What is that?
It's more about what it means.
You know, it's more of what it means.
It's like, if I try this and I can't do it, what am I?
I think it brings a lot of shame for people.
You know, it's kind of like, oh, I just, I can't, it's too much for me.
It's because of what it symbolises.
You know, it's like the shame that comes around, like not, and I have my fingers in quotation marks here, not being able to do the simple things.
And the shame around that, I think that's why it comes down to, first of all, we know that people with ADHD struggle with organisation, but just the shame around like, that's a simple thing, that's an easy thing.
