Let's put our kind of serious hat on here because...

Lloyds is a bank a bank is there to make profit and if you've got a kind of brands kind of competing for each other within the same sort of stable you can kind of understand it from a business decision however no you got to remember there's a lot of Halifaxers out there people that have had maybe their first mortgage first current account and like the brand prefer the brand over Lloyds and will be quite upset by this move I looked into this a little while back

There's 178 locations with the Lloyds and the Halifax branch in close vicinity.

So the likelihood is by those branches, I would say.

But the real thing, you have to go back.

I'll go real back potted history, but let's go like the more recent history.

So Halifax...

In 1997, it demutualized.

So it was a building society.

In actual fact, at one point, it was the biggest building society in the world.

It went on to the stock market.

So it stopped being a mutual.

It stopped being a building society.

And it went on to the stock market in 1997.

Came bank instead, created 7.5 million new shareholders in the aftermath of that.

Within four years, in 2001, it merged with Bank of Scotland to form Halifax Bank of Scotland, HBOS.
