Even now, just they treat video as like it's kind of there and I know how to log on, I know how to mute and unmute.
But there's such an opportunity here to really stand out, especially because a lot of us still the first time we meet a colleague is going to be over video, even if we go into the office later.
So being yeah, intentional about our video presence, I talk about the T method in the book, tech energy, aesthetics, the three things to think about before getting on a call.
It does not need to be anything complicated, but you can form.
help people form a a really fast impression of you if your space is curated, if you are well lit, if your framing is good, and it allows you to use your hands on camera and be more expressive.
So that was one thing that was perhaps a less obvious thing to work on, but I I feel like it really makes a difference.

So I was a lot more explicit about what I wanted.
So if I go back to my time at LinkedIn, again, I'm assuming my manager knows that I want to get promoted, that I'm ambitious and I'm ready for that next level.
And I remember I share this story in the book.
My colleague, she was amazing.
She had been at LinkedIn longer than me, but had been at the same position for a while.
And sort of in the back of my mind, I always wondered, oh, why hasn't she gotten promoted?
Why hasn't she advanced yet?
And then one day she comes into the office and promotions are announced and she gets promoted.
And I'm so excited for her.
And I go up to her and I say,
