I was about to call my husband because I thought I'm not going to be able to take care of the baby.

We were by ourselves at home and I had to lay down.

So just kind of a scary moment.

And I realized that herbs are still medicine and that we need to be mindful of how we recommend these things because we all have very unique body chemistries.

And I had a history of insulin resistance and gestational diabetes.

And so that lactation consultant probably should have been thinking about a more targeted solution for me, knowing my previous history.

And so then from there, it felt like there weren't any other options.

You know, this was a decade ago.

You know, you were either just shoveling bowls of oatmeal into your mouth or you were eating.

I think there was Ovaltine at some point.

That was kind of a trending thing to drink Ovaltine.

And then there were lactation cookies and that was kind of it.

Yeah.

So I started doing research on what women have been using for generations, centuries.

to help with milk supply.

So I looked in the Middle East and India and South America and Asia and found all of these herbs that I had never heard about that had been passed down from generation to generation of women.

And so I ordered them online.

I bought a coffee grinder and a pill encapsulator on eBay for like $100.

And I started, this is kind of where the guinea pig part came in.
