Grief is quite complicated, you know, it comes and it goes in waves.

But what I can say is you do learn to grow around it eventually with help.

I think you can overcome anything.

And what happened to me is the grief and Mark's place in our life didn't get any smaller.

It stayed the same, but we grew around it.

And that space that we grew into allowed moments of joy and moments of contentedness and acceptance and then back to grief again and then anger and sadness.

So you'd go through all the emotions in any given week.

But over time, it's just a bit less heavy to carry.

In our case, money was gone.

It's really, really difficult.

But I just woke up every day and said, right, one foot in front of the other, one moment at a time, one breath at a time.

Make sure you eat something.

Get the kids to school.
