It felt like he was having to go through absolute hell, but he was willing to do it to try and stay with us for as long as he could.
So he got admitted to hospital in the middle of that week, but kept going for his radiotherapy treatment, even though he was so desperately ill from it.
And he was in hospital for about three weeks that time in the end.
Yeah.
It was actually two weeks.
He was in hospital for two weeks and he got out the night before our 10th wedding anniversary.
He told him that he was going home no matter what and he had them all in and out trying to persuade him to stay in.
He had a great way with the doctors and the nurses that he was kind of, he wasn't that much of an easy patient.
He'd be kind of pushing for things and annoying them, but he'd have them on side as well.
He did it in a kind of charming way.
He'd wreck their heads, but they couldn't help but like him.
Politely pester them.
Yeah.
And he was so knowledgeable that a lot of people said, what field are you in?
What type of medical professional are you?
He said, no, I have a tyre centre.
I'm just really interested in this stuff.
He became so knowledgeable.
He had read multiple reports and things.
Intelligent guy.
