I have two items under my manager's report for this evening.
For the first item, I'd like to take a moment to spotlight four employees that have been selected to be our 2026 MEC-Ax award recipients.
As you might be aware, our MECAC Awards was established in 2023 to recognize Mecklenburg County employees who are fueling positive impact in our organization and community by achieving results, cultivating relationships and people, and transforming our work through innovation and change.
What makes this award so special is that employees were nominated by their peers.
The first team member I would like to acknowledge this evening is Justin Jackson.
Justin is currently serving as the park recreation superintendent for our parks and recreation department.
His colleagues described him as professionally competitive and always putting his best foot forward to ensuring that our park and recreation facilities under his portfolio are running smoothly.
Justin is known for his Chick-fil-A style customer service.
