Brandy is known for pioneering the ambassador peer support model that helps new employees to seamlessly integrate into their roles and feel welcomed as members of Team Mecklenburg.
At any given time, you can find Brandy setting an example for her team through coaching, mentoring, and advocating for her employees in a manner that helps them develop as professionals.
Closing out the 2026 MECH-AXA Award recipient, last but not least, is Erin Councilman.
Erin is currently serving as a Social Services Supervisor in the Community Support Services Department.
Her colleagues described her as a go-getter who was willing to embrace new opportunities and efforts to help as many residents as possible.
Erin is known for overseeing a fast-paced grant project that used funds to assist
individuals impacted by intimate partner violence.
Her oversight on this project helped 95 households avoid eviction and maintain transportation for employment at any given time.
