That's what we were talking about before.
Yeah, I agree with what you're saying, obviously.
And I was asked once by a journalist, we've done all this ayahuasca with all these paramount shamans.
Doesn't that make you a shaman?
I'm like, I'm not a shaman.
I don't want to be a shaman.
I never tell anybody I'm a shaman.
I said, doing ayahuasca with a lot of indigenous masters, to me, it's like you're driving by a house and the house has a couple of windows open and you're getting a glimpse of what's really going on.
But you're not going to get into the house.
I don't care how much ayahuasca you have.
And I've actually had shamans tell some white people to stop drinking so much ayahuasca because they were overdoing it.
So this idea, I mean, when I was in college in the 70s, I remember people thinking like, the more dope you smoke, the wiser you get.
Didn't turn out that way.
So this whole idea that hallucinogens are the answer, hallucinogens are the panacea, the more you drink, the better it is for you.
You know, Michael Pollan wrote in one of his books, he says, part of the problem we see today is everybody wants to go to the Amazon, everybody wants to drink ayahuasca, and a lot of people that are doing this are mentally fragile.
And that's why they're going, because Western medicine is not meeting their needs and solving their problem.
But some of these people are held together by scotch tape.
And these are the people that come apart.
And because a lot of these shamans really aren't shamans, they're pretenders, that these people come apart and they can't put them back together.
