Our mutual friend Tim Ferriss told me about some guy, he went down to Peru and he wasn't ready for three years because he kind of came apart.
You know, one of my formative experiences when I was a little kid, my mother took me to see Fantasia.
And the end of Fantasia is that cartoon called The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
And if you remember the story where the sorcerer steps out and Mickey says, I can do this.
And he starts making more rooms to sweep up and all of a sudden they're out of control.
I mean, in partly an homage to that film, I entitled my first book, Tales of a Shaman's Apprentice.
And these are not powers to be trifled with or disrespected or just assuming that, you know, you went to Esalen for a weekend and got naked in the hot tub and took mushrooms.
So you're now a mushroom master, a maestro.

And we went into this, that you have these people that are like, these are neo-mythologies that they're saying, well, obviously the ancient Aztecs were using this because it's in Mexico, you know, but there's no proof.
I mean, of course, the Peruvians, you know, they wrote stuff down.
The Aztecs, when the Spaniards came, stuff got written down.
But there's no written evidence that these bufos on the Arizona-Mexico border were used in ancient times.
But again, to refer back to an earlier point, does it prove that they weren't using it?
No.
But people can't be saying, oh, of course they were, because there's no evidence.
And they can say it, but there's no proof.
However, some have noted there's a lot of frog iconography in some of these Central American temples.

You can't totally dismiss it, but you need better proof.
