Just because you put a picture of a frog on your temple or your synagogue doesn't mean that you're ingesting it for hallucinogenic purposes.
But also, a lot of things are overlooked.
For example, our friend Stamets was in Egypt doing the Gringo Trail, and he looked in some of these temples, and there's magic mushrooms.
But everybody who looked at it was an Egyptologist.
They could barely tell a palm tree from a pine tree.
So they didn't know these were hallucinogenic species, but you can be damn sure.
But as you said, to pull the lens back, this is probably the most studied civilization of the ancient world, Egypt, right?

And the other thing I want to add is that, yes, if the forest disappears, and I'm not just talking about the Amazon where I work, I mean, the boreal forest, any forest or any ecosystem coral reefs, what are we losing?
But in the rainforest, we're losing those shamanic cultures and wisdom that
