And I have that opportunity.

Now, what I like about him, possibly over Luke Jacobson, the one year I think we are weak is six.

And I want a captain probably in those midweek games who's a forward, who's got some mongrel.

First test ever he played for England was against South Africa.

And I also think there's a nice message here.

OK, people can say, oh, he's a bit of a turncoat.

He turned his back on the All Blacks.

Well, I don't think he was ever in the selection frame under Hansen for whatever reason.

Again, a player that just wasn't fashionable in the eyes of those selectors.

So it went away, has come back, returned to New Zealand rugby, given his heart and soul.

But I think he's playing brilliantly.

I actually think he's playing better than Luke Jacobson at the moment.

And so why not a Brad Shields as your midweek captain for the Dirt Trackers?
