Good afternoon, morning, to welcome everybody. Look, All Black Boulders here, fascinating one, and I don't think there's been too many All Black team selections that have been named in the past where there's not that somebody that takes everybody a little bit by surprise. Normally probably comes a little bit maybe up front in the forward pack, but mine too, Lucas Casey, I think has been outstanding for the Highlanders. I think he had a really good season last year for Otago and the MPC. Just a different type of seven than perhaps what we've been seeing from the likes of Duplicy, Karifi, like we've seen from the likes of Peter Lakai, and obviously with our incumbents in terms of Adi Savia, I think there's just an athleticism about him.
I mean, he's been good in a forward pack that's gone backwards all year, hasn't necessarily had guys around him to necessarily facilitate him looking good, where I think sometimes when you're playing a very good team, it's easy to look good. And look, and the other one for me, Josh Morby. I think this guy, even a few years ago, before he went to France, was a very good footballer. But for some reason, we tend to always be focusing on the Reuben loves. There's always been this history in this country with a lot of players maybe being unfashionable or not fashionable enough for whatever reason. And AJ Lamb's probably one that falls into that. I've always been a big one on Ricky Riccitelli. I know that's a bit of a theme of mine.
But I think Morby, in terms of being able to play at wing and play at fullback, or Black Bolt or perhaps certainly a guy that you would call in if maybe some of the incumbents over the next couple of weeks were to pick up further injured. If Will Jordan wasn't to come back, if let's say Damien McKenzie was to pick up another head knock, I don't think you can go too much wrong. And the reason I say that too, and you guys might argue me on this, but I mean, you guys, probably more so than me, you guys really embellish Super Rugby and tell us it is the premium product. If it is the premium product, and these guys are performing in that premium product, then I think if they're doing it week in, week out, they should be part of the all-black selection.
We can't just keep going back. They lack experience. Well, this is the competition we've got. This is all we've got. And if it is the be-all and end-all, then based on what we see, then I think there's an argument for it.
Who are the potential All Black bolters for 2026?
Well, it's the only place you can select All Blacks from, isn't it? You can't select them from anywhere else, even if we might think the better New Zealanders playing overseas. But I agree with you. I think there's normally a bolter up front, but normally we don't know who they are. I think the last one I remember was Pasolio Tosi, and he's certainly come along in the past few years. But I don't really know the dark arts of scrummaging, so there might be a random prop out there who could be on the list. But I think in the outside backs as well, with that injury to Will Jordan, there is an opening out there. Josh Morby can play wing and fullback, a bit like Shea Feehaki, who I think is a guy whose aerial game is probably better than Morby.
He's maybe not as good as attacking and beating defenders and scoring tries, but certainly in that defensive part of the game and catching high balls, I think he's one of the best in the country. And another guy who's making massive waves out of St.
