I mean, as recently as this past homestand and, and,
I mean, he, like most players, downplayed there being any injuries, but, you know, just kind of acknowledged guys get banged up over the course of the season.
And, you know, he jammed his index finger on a slide in June.
And just since then, you look at some of his numbers, he's just not hitting the ball very hard.
And he's putting the ball on the ground at a very high clip, which is very unlike him as a fly ball hitter.
And, you know, for him, I mean, obviously he's still seeing the ball really well because he's taking a ton of walks.
He's not chasing.
So you'd like the walk to strikeout ratio.
But for him, he's falling off a lot of pitches.
And, you know, he kind of talked about there being a little bit of frustration that, you
He's seeing what he should be hitting, and instead of, you know, putting damage to it, he's falling it back.
So, you know, it seems like he's just a tick off with his timing.
Obviously, the bat speed metrics have dipped since the finger injury, which...
is concerning as well.
But they're kind of at the point where like, you know, even if he is banged up, if, if 10 days on the aisle, isn't going to remedy it, you know, it's kind of at the point of the year where you're playing through whatever you're dealing with.
So, yeah, they really need him to, to get back on track.
And, and honestly, you know, because of his walk rate, if, if some guys around him were hitting, it wouldn't be such a, such a glaring issue, but just right now, the offense is not flowing.
