Okay, let's talk about your upcoming book.
And so going back to boundaries, why kids need boundaries.
Do you think families have moved away from boundaries or what was your kind of, what inspired you to write about this?
I see you're kicking me in the kneecaps.
And I think that's so key, sorry to interrupt you, is that the fact that you do talk about connection and you have in your previous book,
I think is what will make people really receptive to this because yeah, families are scared.
We know a lot about attachment theory all of a sudden and we don't want to lose that with our children.
So yeah, I think it's really nice that you talk about both because I think families will be receptive to that.
And do you think it's kind because that is kind of what they will have to deal with outside of the family unit as well?
So you're teaching it.
And could it potentially be because, I mean, when you've got a new baby and you have older children, I think as parents, you really want to make sure that the older children still feel that that connection hasn't gone.
So those girls may have been doing that thinking, you know, I think if we are affectionate to the baby, then mum will be real happy with us.
But then when mum goes, actually, what would make me happy is...
you playing then the girls know okay this is doing this is what makes mum happy uh or you know as as i guess what mum has asked for and so we will we'll get more affection or we'll feel connected to mum in that way because we've we've done what she's asked
Yeah.
Can you have too many boundaries?
Like, is there a difference between boundaries and rules and can you overdo it?
Is there a sweet spot?
Definitely.
Yeah, so it's often not the thing that needs to have a boundary or a universal boundary for everyone.
