So that's who Lindy West is.

You might also be familiar with her work.

She wrote a memoir called Shrill, which was a big success, a New York Times bestseller, and then it got picked up and turned into a really well-received TV show.

You might have heard her when she was at the peak of all of that kind of internet culture writing.

She came on No Filter and spoke to me about Shrill, I think back in 2017.

So she's a big deal.

The reason we're talking about her is she's got a new memoir out.

We talked about memoirs on Friday and about the importance of truth or not when it comes to memoir.

Lindy's new memoir is called Adult Braces.

And it kind of picks up a bit where Shrill left off, which is at the end of Shrill.

So Lindy, obviously, as Amelia said, was written about all these important feminist issues.

In 2015, Lindy got married.

She married her partner, musician and writer, Ahamefule Oluo, who she always refers to as Aham.

Right.

So she and Arham married.

I remember the pictures so clearly, this beautiful, very like hipster wedding.

And then in 2022, so seven years after their marriage, Lindy and Arham and another woman called Roya came out, as it were, as a throuple.

so that there are three of them in their relationship, and they talked about their polyamory.
